MY STORY
From Borrowed Village Bathrooms to Boardrooms
From having to use the neighbour’s bathroom during holidays at grandparents’ home in the native village to later in life getting to stay at seven star hotels across the world for work and leisure, Ashutosh Rawal has seen and experienced extremes of the kind that books are made up of. From never having imagined a vacation abroad to getting to travel as part of ‘job’ to exotic lands, Ashutosh believes in the power of thought and deep wishing. He always jokes about the computerized hi-tech toilet systems in Japan which has dashboard panel and several options.
His first trip abroad was not a vacation but a well-earned exchange program offered by Gujarat University to Japan, a land that later caught his heartstrings. Despite travels to over 70 countries now, Ashutosh still loves that country the most. Not just because it was ‘first love’ but because that country was his first “great experience” which opened doors to many more exciting travels and his vision, as the years rolled by.

WHY I'M CRAZY ABOUT
JAPAN
THE LAND OF THE RISING SUN
Japan was one of the first country I had ever been to, so no wonder it took a special place in my heart. The culture, food and people in Japan, everything is so amazing and overwhelming that I never wanted to leave. Everyday I learned something new about the country and it’s rich heritage, their sense of selflessness really left a remarkable impression in my head.
There’s so much we can learn from them and that’s also one of the reason why I’m crazy about Japan. Indeed, Japan is the most travel-friendly country in the world. Not to forget, Japan is the nation of politeness. Even though the Japanese culture and their habits might be pretty different from many other countries, and a lot of people don’t speak English here but I found Japanese people extremely polite and genuine! I could literally fill pages about why I love this country so much.
