137 Pillars House, Chiang Mai :
I have fallen in love with this place and staff. In fact, it has replaced my previous favourites – Four Seasons and Dharadevi, Chiang Mai. The Pillars house is much more centrally located compared to other two resorts.
I have been visiting Chiang Mai for many years but found my new muse in the last couple of trips – 137 Pillars House.
It brings back the feeling of old colonial times and it gives you calm & soothing feeling as you enter. They have taken very good care in carefully restoring this property. It is an all-Suite property with large and spacious rooms. They have amazing outdoor garden bathrooms and it reminds me of traditional bathrooms in Kerala.
Beautiful terraces with couches await with lighting and orchids surrounding if you want to just chill. I like the tastefully crafted and creatively designed landscapes inside the Resort. There is also an amazing “green’ swimming pool area.
Breakfasts are lavish and served by very friendly staff, who are always ready to help. You can actually feel the warmth of hospitality and genuine concern about your well-being. I just love the wide range small savouries that they serve with high tea. It’s perfect with great cutlery, pastries and sweets and snacks.
